Where did my toes go!

Here is the end of 6 months! So a few weeks old, I think I was maybe 26 or 27 weeks and I'm 30 now!So its not that much bigger but I'm feeling bigger and bigger by the day! I'm definitely in the middle of a growth spurt right now! Which is hard to believe, I really don't feel like I can stretch much more. Sitting has become almost impossible. She's pretty much taking up the space length wise, not width wise yet she still squishes over to the right side for most of the day. I'm not uncomfortable (yet/thank goodness!) I've actually had a surge in energy the last couple of days!!
This has to be one of my favorite pictures! It's always a surprise to look down and not see my feet :)
There has been a little update about the nursery but you'll just have to wait for it :)

The Search Continues and Welcome to Nesting!

So this nursery business has been consuming my brain for far to long now and causing to much stress! I can not wait for it to be over! But there is some sunshine at the end of the tunnel! After much online searching I found that Cocalo makes a complete bed set with the same colors, patterns and elephants as the Ellie collection!! Its more than what we wanted to pay for a bed set but since we haven't had to spend anything on furniture its doable. And here it is!
So one would think that I could relax now that we've found a bed set to go with the new colors. Nope now I'm back to square one with the wall colors! I'm still thinking two green stripes...but I'm not sure about the main color. I thought yellow but the hubby isn't too sure about that. He's thinking pink but I'm not sure if I want that much pink in there. So we shall see we might end up with every wall a different color lol!!
* * * *
Today I vowed not to think about the nursery.....the fact that I'm posting about it shows that its kind of impossible. I was going to work on some other baby projects but what started as a load of laundry turned into SUPER NESTING! Let me clarify the term "Nesting" for you, it really means "HOLY CRAP I only have 10 weeks left and I haven't done the things I needed to do and I am so not ready for this baby to be here!!!!" I finally finished unpacking and organizing all of the things we brought from our house into my parents house! I totally cleaned out and rearranged my bedroom. I now have a usable couch in that room!! All that's left is a getting a much needed bureau. But I can now show off our sweet painting job in there without being embarrassed by all the stuff that was piled every where! There really is something to be said for having a clean room (that you can actually live in)!
I don't have any good pictures of our room yet but once I do I'll post them because I'm super proud of the job I did in there :)
So 2 pre-baby projects down about 9 more to go.....heehee this number seems to be growing daily!

Shopping can be Dangerous

So I had my room idea all set before we found out that we were having a girl and it seems to be that the closer Oct. comes the hubby and I are being drawn to more girly things. The room that's going to be the nursery already has a periwinkle night stand in it so we decided to leave it in there to help make the room look more girly.

And here is were shopping becomes a bad thing! My mom picked up a super cute crib sheet (below) at Babies R Us a few weeks ago. On Wed. my mom and I went poking around Michael's and TJ Maxx after a kind of stressful baby appointment. I found these super cute baskets for the changing table. And now I'm starting to want to change the nursery completely!!

The only problem is I can't find any bedding set that I like. The sheet is part of Cocalo's Ellie collection. The problem is the bumper has no elephants on it I could applique my own on there but I'm not sure if I can handle the stress of that project right now. On Wed I also pick up this wall hanging that I LOVE and absolutely want to put in her room.

My mom and Aunt are thrilled (to say the least) that I'm changing my mind to have a more girly room. They went out on Thur. in search of girly bedding. Its very dangerous to send them shopping lol! They pick up this blanket that goes with the Ellie bedding, I love it!

They also picked up this adorable mobile. I'm leaning towards changing to a green, pink, yellow and lavender color theme so it will work perfectly! Unfortunately Babies R Us doesn't carry the bedding it goes to anymore!

So the searching continues for the new perfect bedding!

Nursery Beginnings

We picked out a bedset back in the spring, to cheer me up when I was on bedrest. We loved it because the animals are so cute and we wanted a gender neutral room. This is it, its Tiddlywinks Safari Friends from Target.

For months I've been hemming and hawing over what I wanted to do for the walls. I knew I wanted orange and green with stripes but I wasn't sure what combo I wanted. So Imeasured the room and made a little model of it and changed out the color combos until I found one I liked. Here is the finished product.

Now to finish sanding the trim we can start painting and setting it up so exciting!

First Offical Post

This is going to be my first offical post! I started this blog to document the last chapter of my pregnancy, the beginning of mommyhood and the joys and trials of being a domestic diva/new wife! I'll be covering topics like my growing bump, trying to set up a nursery, woes of cleaning and cooking, life with a new baby and some other fun/random things that happen to me!

I'm not that computer savvy and I'm hoping this blogging thing get easier (and better looking) over time!

Finally Popped!

It seems like it took forever but its finally here! At 6 months and we have something we can call a bump! At the parents house now (note how much cleaner it is lol)
Now the fun begins! Watching (something that you can actually see) get bigger and bigger as the big day gets closer and closer!

A little bump......maybe

4 months! Finally some weight gain about 2 pounds you can see it in my face. I don't look great here I was on bedrest so quick showers and no primping! There is still not much of anything going on for a bump lol

If you look really hard you can see it

This is 3 months. We think this is big and you can hardly see that theres a little something starting to pop out.....or its all those waffles.

The Start of something beautiful!

The beginning of something beautiful, lol not much of a bump here or bloat
This is about 2 months pregnant (so much easier to say than going by weeks!) We're still in the appartment here...note the giant pile of clothes on the floor lol :) At this point I wasn't sure if I was going to do the belly pictures or not so the first few are a tad silly
